Winning bidder on my car wants to cancel
I am pretty upset. The high bidder on my car messaged me last night that he will arranged for transportation today as the car is not road worthy. This morning I get a cancellation request through ebay. Reason: accidentally bid. I had quiet a few bidders. How can I reach them. And is there recourse against the winning bidder?

Mentor5 months agoNo, eBay motors listings are nonbinding. Either party can walk away without penalty.
You could have tried sending a Second Chance Offer IF it wasn’t relisted already.

Mentor5 months agoVehicle listings are a special kind of listing on eBay. Either the buyer or the seller can walk away from the purchase with no consequences. So there is nothing you can do about their request other than to accept it.
On other listings you may be able to make a second chance offer to the underbidders. I am not sure if this will work with vehicle listings but you can try and see. Find the listing on your sold list and from the drop down menu next to the listing see if you can make a second chance offer.
