OP2 years agoI was trying to leave a review, however, not successful. The seller has already relisted the bid item I won for $400.00 more than what I paid. WTH eBay??!!

Mentor2 years agoHi @princessdog06
The seller not only didn't complete your transaction, he is now trying to wiggle out of a defect on his seller record by getting you to ask for a cancellation.
You might reply to say something similar to... I'm sorry, but when you list an item on eBay, you are required to complete the transaction. I expect you to disappoint the buyer you sold to on the other site and complete the sale with me as you agreed to do when you listed. I do not agree to a cancellation and if you falsify the reason for a cancellation, that will be reported to eBay. I look forward to receiving my item by the estimated delivery date.
There is only a small chance you'll receive your item, but if you don't and he doesn't cancel:
When it's past the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History, you have up to 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
If he cancels and uses a reason other than out of stock/damaged, you can report the cancellation misrepresentation here:

1. Select The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies and click Continue.
2. On the next page, enter the seller's ID and select Other.
3. In the comment section, write "In order to avoid a defect, seller cancelled order stating that <I requested the cancellation or there was an issue with the buyer's address>," whichever applies. Refer to the email exchange.

The SELLER will have to cancel the transaction. Buyers cannot cancel their purchases.
If the seller refuses to cancel the transaction, you can file a Refund Request one day after the estimated date of delivery has passed.

Report the seller:

Select "The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies"
Then "Seller doesn’t want to complete the sale"
