Why would a seller be able to cancel a purchase and say it was the purchaser’s request?
I’m disappointed in the communications that blame the buyer for bad information provided by the seller. I recently bought a engine and transmission the seller contacted me and asked to cancel the order because it was not available as described. I then said yes please cancel the purchase as you don’t have the product available as described and then eBay makes it sound as if the sellers inaccurate product discrepancies are not the issue it’s quite a PC problem you have turned a blind eye as to keep sellers rated higher than they deserve causing a inaccurate trust in your loose platform. Would like to see eBay with accurate ratings including sellers blunders. Not just erasing them as if they never happened, Loosing my trust just like Craigslist!

·1 year agoYou DID request it. You should have said no, I do not request that you cancel it. He could have cancelled it for "out of stock etc." but he got you to request it so he didn't get the "defect" he should have gotten. You might have had to wait until the estimated delivery date you were given when you paid had passed to file for Item Not Received but you would have gotten the item as described or your money back.
