Why won't ebay do anything about a blatantly misleading listing title?
I ordered from a listing titled: "Polystyrene Beans Refill Pack Bean Bags Crafts DIY Projects Packing 2 Pack New"
You might read that and think, ah that is a pack of 2 items of new quality. I sure did, especially given it cost 50% more than the same item new elsewhere online.
I got one in the mail. I messaged them and asked where the second item was. They said the title merely meant their store sold 2-packs under other listings. Um what?
So I reported the listing as incorrect to EBay, ebay did "an automated investigation" (lol - also what?) and decided there was nothing wrong and closed the case without doing anything or giving me any recourse.
So, I blew my budget for my brother's Christmas gift by paying 50% more for the same item, and EBay sees nothing wrong. What the heck is going on here?
The seller offered me 10% refund, but refuses to change the listing title. I told them I don't want others tricked and won't take it unless they change the listing title.

The title does seem misleading. I could not find it in active listings, only sold, so perhaps the seller has changed it.
Instead of taking a small refund, I would return the item as it does not match the description - there is also a photo of 2 bags. The seller will have to give you a full refund plus pay the return shipping.
Go to your purchase history - select return this item. Under reasons select does not match the description, and follow the prompts. In comments describe 1 pack received, not 2.
The seller has 3 business days to send you a return label or a refund. If he doesn't, or says he cannot send a label, go to your case and click 'ask us to step in'.
The seller will have the option of offering a larger refund, too 🙂
