why - why do they let the seller do what ever they please
you buy something and they take your money and you wait around for weeks for something that never shows up and they say we will send another one out just to wait some more . mean while they make money off your
money and ebay give them a good rating because they will not show your bad rating you gave them , an there is no consequences for the sellers because they are making money for ebay

Mentor2 years agoHi @piratekg22
I’m a buyer only … and I have never experienced that problem.
I file an ‘item not received’ claim no later than one week after the Estimated Delivery Date … and I only accept a full refund, NOT a replacement.
Buyers actually have an enormous advantage over sellers on eBay … but we have to make sure we understand the Money Back Guarantee thoroughly AND ignore sellers who try to convince us to deviate from eBay’s policy.
I’m very sorry you encountered a bad seller … but your agreeing to a replacement (instead of insisting on a refund) is what got you screwed.
Depending on how much time has passed since you purchased the item … you may still be able to be refunded by your credit card company. It’s worth a phone call to find out. Good luck!

Mentor2 years agoThe estimated delivery date is shown at checkout before you commit to pay for an item, and it also appears in your Purchase History.
If the item does not arrive by the last estimated delivery date, you can file an "item not received" case with eBay the next day. Choosing a refund rather than a replacement can speed things up.
If the seller is not able to provide tracking showing delivery within three business days you can ask eBay to step in and refund you.
You can avoid many issues by choosing to do business with sellers that have positive feedback for selling similar items, and by avoiding new or inexperienced sellers that do not have a track record, or sellers that have a history showing a pattern of negative feedback.
