Why was my listing rejected due to knife policy despite others selling the same?????
Hi. I tried to list two items as one lot. They are an olfa 45* mount board cutter, and a gyro-cut tool. My lisiting has been rejected due to the knife policy, BUT others are selling the same exact tools on ebay. Please explain why I am not allowed.....

OP1 year agoSo, turns out it was not the products ebay had an issue with, but a word trigger in my title.....
I got ebay to call me....
Got to say - great customer service!!
In the UK, the knife policy means you can not use the word 'cut' in the title, even if it is in the product's real name.... Ebay advised that I describe the 'problem product' as a paper cutter in the title, and then in the description - give it's real product name... I chose to only list the item ebay does not have a trigger for.... So, the paper cutter will go to a charity shop!
Thanks to both repliers though - good to know folk do respond!! Cheers.

·1 year agoYou see others selling because they haven't been caught yet. It's like speeding. The cop pulled you over but the others got away. It's a fact the cops can't catch all of the speeders.
Don't relist or you can get banned forever.
Feel free to report the others.
