Why so many ebay payment reminders?
Summary: baseball_shakester1 expresses frustration with eBay's persistent payment reminders, noting they've received excessive emails and pop-up notifications despite being a reliable buyer. They are particularly bothered by these reminders when they hold off on payment to combine shipping on items won from the same seller on different days. The author mentions unsuccessful attempts to disable these reminders and seeks advice from others on how to manage this situation.
Like so many buyers, I enjoy purchasing multiple items from the same seller in order to receive combined shipping. That said, sometimes the auctions end a few days apart, thus I have to wait in order to receive said combined shipping on multiple items. Ebay has been sending me so many payment reminder emails that I don't want to participate any longer. The other day I won an auction and noted the seller was auctioning off another of the same items the next day, so I figured I'd try to get them both, which I did. Before that second auction happened, ebay had sent me over 10 payment reminder emails in under an hour. Not only is it emails that have been annoying, I have received 2 pop-up reminders while trying to participate in other auctions. Now, I could understand if I had been days behind in not paying, but I'm a long time ebay participant with a perfect record. Over the last 24 hours, I have received 30 payment reminder emails. I wish ebay would stop treating me like a scumbag. The AI told me that I could go to settings and choose not to receive payment reminder emails, but I could not find that option. Can someone help me? It seems that this, borderline harassment, messaging is a new thing. I don't think I ever had payment reminder emails sent until our "My ebay" page started listing unpaid items above our saved items list. Can anyone help me to understand?
