Why only partial list of international 'ship-to' countries in my listings?
I had a cashmere sweater listed, and accepted an offer from a buyer located in Japan. I am enrolled in the new eBay International Shipping program.
However, the buyer was not able to pay because the checkout says that the seller (me) does not ship to Japan. I checked the original listing, and some of my other recent listings, and sure enough - the list of countries I ship to is quite limited. However, I have not chosen to exclude any countries.

The eBay customer service rep was unable to help over the phone.
I looked at other seller's listings for similar sweaters, and some have the full list of "ship to" countries, while others have the same incomplete list as me.

OP3 years agoI had and have no countries excluded.
I just did a test where I excluded EU, applied the change to current listings, and those countries were added to the excluded list in the listing. I then changed the settings back to zero exclusions. Still no Japan (among other countries).

OP3 years agoHow so? No regions nor countries are selected on that page for me, and the only excluded countries in my listings are "Barbados, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Guadeloupe, Libya, Martinique, New Caledonia, Reunion, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Venezuela"

OP3 years agoDo you have any thoughts on why some of my listings ship to the full international country list, and the recent items do not? Thank you for your help!

·3 years agoI just saw that eBay made changes in the international shipping.
The listings that ships to Japan, have "eBay International Shipping". The listings that don't ship to Japan have no "eBay International Shipping".
This could be a clue.
