Why no access to buyers address
I just sold a piece of 14K jewelry that needed to be sent to an authenticator first. The address label lists the buyers name, but not the buyers address. Every other of the 800+ items I've ever sold on eBay has provided the buyers address. Why am I not allowed to see this buyers address, especially when they know who I am as a seller?

Why not allow me to see the buyers address after they've received it? What would the harm be at that point?

Mentor2 weeks ago@ahappypainter When you ship to the authenticator you don't see the buyers address because eBay sends the item to the buyer.
There is no reason for you to have the buyers address. This also prevents a seller from trying to skip the authentication process and shipping directly to a buyer.
There is a code on the label that ties you and the buyer to the sale. This is how eBay tracks the order.

When an order must be sent to the authenticator, you don't receive the buyer's address...only the authenticator's address. You don't ship to the buyer, the authenticator does.

What would be the reason you want it?
You have no need of it to complete your transaction.
You can see the buyer's country of registration on his full feedback page.

OP2 weeks ago · EditedWhen you sell something, it's helpful to learn what part of the country or city they live in.....Having an idea of this can help in selling in the future. Companies tract where their sales are because it's helpful. . . no need answer, it won't change eBay's policy.
