Why more search results sorted by best match & less when sorted by lowest price?
Search has been broken for months. I get loads of search results that have nothing to do with the search. When I get results, there are quite a few more sorted by best match than there are sorted by lowest price. How is this even possible? Anyone can build a search engine. Then I get stopped from searching because of constant popups trying to get me to get the eBay app or sign in with Google, like anyone wants Google to track them more. eBay has become so user-unfriendly I spend more at other websites.

Mentor2 years agoIf you use "Best Match" you will often see more results than when using other sorts. eBay may be expanding the keyword matching feature to include more items with similar keywords when using that sort.
If you use "Price plus shipping: Lowest first" you will often see fewer results.
Other sorts should provide more consistent results.
