why is USPS Ground Advantage more expensive on Ebay than going directly through USPS?
Shipping a 3lb 15 oz square box, size 17x13x12 from zipcode 66368 to 39752. Ebay charged $14.48 (and I checked the pricing calculator; in agreed with $19.50 minus 25% discount). I went to USPS to schedule a pickup and on a whim I tested their pricing for Ground Advantage. Same exact numbers as above; they only want $11.55. What am I missing?

Mentor3 years agoUSPS is not offering the same discount for online postage purchases that you receive on eBay. You pay more if you buy your postage at the post office.
