Why is this happening—my items not showing up in a search
I write a long title, answer all of eBays questions about my item and then can't find it when I do a general search using a simple keyword. In order for my clothing item to show up in a search I can't just put in the brand under newly listed I have to be very specific.

That is usually a sign that you have listed in the wrong category for a keyword.
Many searches are steered into a particular category based on the keywords used. When the search results finish loading, look to the right of the search field when using a desktop browser to see what category you have wound up in.
If that does not help, which item are you having trouble finding, and how are you searching?
