Why is there no way to report someone who is selling counterfeit items on ebay?
It is disgusting that ebay protects them. I bought a counterfeit item and had to negotiate with the thief. They know how to game the system and ebay looks the other way, without any way to get them to intervene. I am done with ebay, its a shame they do not care about the buyer.

Mentor2 years agoThere is no need to negotiate with anyone.
eBay has a money back guarantee, and numerous ways of reporting listings or sellers that violate policy.

OP2 years agoSure, I got my money back but the seller continues. I did report the seller through the numerous ways. The repose i got over and over:
What happened:
We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent.
SO that means that ebay IS OK WITH SCAMMERS SELLING FAKE COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS!
The seller knew to get my money back BERFORE ebay would give me an option to get a ebay moderator involved. They play the system and ebay does not care. F*** ebay.

Mentor2 years agoThat message just means that a customer service rep cannot tell what is counterfeit or not just by looking at the listing.
You can be sure that eBay keeps track of every time a seller is required to refund a buyer due to a "not as described" return, and if it keeps happening, the seller loses selling privileges.
