Why is my payout on hold?
I sold a set of DVDs. I sent them out immediately using the eBay label. I spent the money on their damned fees and label, and I still had to buy packaging and also have a tracking number. Tracking was already in eBay’s system, because it was THEIR stupid label printed off at the post office. Buyer received this the next day. So, she got her purchase within two days after paying for it (& I had agreed to cover postage). I was thinking the payout would come in pretty fast (it’s the year 2026, correct?). It’s showing on home. First it said because I never downloaded tracking info. Holy hell. Then it showed it was right there when I maneuvered around and saw it. Then it said on hold but no reason showing. I went in and followed instructions to get paid immediately. I then saw my name was missing the middle initial on eBay but my bank info had it on my debit. I fixed that with eBay. Holy goddamned crap- this isn’t a good time. And, the costs they (eBay) charge are pretty high -then to have to go through not knowing why my payout is on hold or how long it will be. I went in and changed my schedule so that the immediate payout option would actually work, because it said I would have to do this crap. Still don’t have a date of payout. It should come in immediately.

As a fellow seller I understand that waiting for your payout is frustrating.
Fund holds are normal for new and returning sellers.
New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while learning best selling practices. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. New sellers can experience holds for up to 31 days.
You can see the Transaction Holds policy on this page>
