Why is exact same item one seller can list it with a 14 day return policy while I have 30 days minim
Why are the exact same items other sellers put up for sale with a 14 day return policy while I have a minimum return period of 30 days. Please read the question and do not guess with the answer, please answer only those who know the answer for sure.

They could be listing in a category that still allows 14 day returns.

Mentor3 years agoHi @arkdice My suggestion would be to simply offer 30 day returns ... below is a link to the eBay Help pages for return time frame allowances ... 14 days shows what it covers ... I sell mainly in Collectibles and use the 30 Day Free Returns setting.

OP3 years agoI read this paragraph before, tried to follow their rules and it was still 30 days. While others nearby sell the same with a 14 day return This is the reason why I posted my question here.

OP3 years agoI am planning to post a sensitive electronics it can be easily broken internally but outwardly it will look good, so for me after return it will be hard to prove it was returned broken.

Mentor3 years ago@arkdice Every Seller has to assess the risk of whatever they list. Below is a link to the eBay Help Pages on Seller Protections if you have not read through them already. I use 30 Day FREE Returns that are automatically accepted ... Seller Protections apply on a return and I have flexibility in how much to refund on the item (up to 50%) and withhold the original shipping paid if the return warrants that AND less than Positive Feedback is blocked or removed automatically.. I seldom have to use the full benefits from that but it is nice to know they are there. My current return rate is 1.06% but that will vary through the course of the year as older returns age off that metric.

If you get a return claiming internal damage it is up to you to determine if the claim is true or false ... if you have no way to do that then it might not be a good item to sell online ... the choice is yours of course.
