Why is ebay holding payments
Im a 22+ year seller, here when ebay was a baby, when they needed us, so we took a break during covid and now that we started the store again, ebay is holding our funds until deliver despite us shipping THE SAME DAY! They act like they dont know us even though we have 100% feedback, ZERO returns or problems and 22 years of happy customer so WHAT GIVES? maybe we should shut down ebay and move to a more friendly venue.

OP3 years agoSo 22 years, 100% feedback and no returns counts for nothing i guess. Ues we shut down 18 months due to covid deaths in family, it was a national disaster, ebay SHOULD be sympathetic. There are plenty of other venues that might be a better fit, even free trials so maybe i should take them all down so I dont upset ebay.

Mentor3 years agoI don't understand why you are taking this personally. All of these actions are driven by computer algorithms. Sellers with inactive accounts over xx months or years are automatically considered new when they start back up. A human isn't looking at your account and targeting you. You are not upsetting eBay.
Whether you took a break to pursue other interests, due to COVID, or to cruise the world with your lottery winnings, eBay is happy you're back and does this so that sellers can get back into the swing of things and learn what's changed in their absence so they can enjoy success without getting themselves into trouble bu violating policies they may not be aware of. You still get paid, you just have to wait a little longer for your payouts for a while as you get re-established.
You're certainly free to sell on whatever venue you like, but if you choose a new one, you will be a new seller there too and will have limits imposed (and even more to learn).

If you've been away since COVID began, that's about three years. Take time to learn what's changed during your time away so that you can keep that 100% positive feedback.
One thing to note...this is not new, but it is a policy violation to sell used perfume, so you'll want to take down any listings for those items before eBay catches them.

·3 years agoIf you take a break from selling, eBay will treat you as a new seller all over again. That means held payouts and limits. eBay has thousands of sellers.
