Why is ebay flagging my sale post for counterfeit item? I can't get past the ai bot for help
I am trying to sell a valuable video game as disk only, since I don't have the real case. I listed it as disk only, and mention in the description that I am including a dvd case with a custom printout of the artwork that comes on the game (which wasn't in a DVD type case - it was a larger proprietary format). It is all listed in the description. What should I do? Throw away the awesome case and just put the disk in a jewel case? This is ridiculous; I've been on ebay with the same account for 25 years.

You created counterfeit or copy right protected artwork, there is a good chance that may have triggered the removal of the item. I suggest that you sell the DVD elsewhere. If you try listing it again as just the game on DVD it might get removed and you risk account restrictions or suspension, either short term, long term or permanently.
While I commend you for the good intentions eBay's AI listing review bot(s) are only concerned about Copy Right protection and other policy matters.

Mentor9 months agoYour being flagged because you are saying that you are including something that you are printing out that is not the original artwork. Artwork is copyrighted and you cannot just make your own version.
