@mikezinc eBay is not the one asking for more shipping $ the carrier is. It appears that you ship mainly using eBay Standard Envelope

This shipping method is very specific on the packing of the card. It must remain flexible enough to bend around a standard coffee mug or you are charged the higher ground advantage price.

For future shipments I recommend dropping your envelopes in the metered mail box at your post office.
