Why is calculated shipping cost paid by buyer only half of actual cost, and seller pays the excess?
EBay charged buyer only $6.55 for shipping in “buyer pays shipping costsâ€
based on calculated amount.
However when I as the seller create the label via the link in the listing using the
Buyer-selected shipping method, the actual cost is $11.55
Why do I as the seller have to pay the difference, and why didn’t eBay charge the full amount to the buyer? I did not offer any shipping discounts.

Mentor2 years agoI see one sold listing with shipping charges. I doubt you can ship those boots for $6.55 unless it is to someone also residing in Oregon. Are you sure the buyer didn't pay $11.55 ? Knowing the weight/dimensions of the package and the TO/FROM zip codes will help in figuring out what might have happened.
