Why is a seller able to block a potential buyer

Question

I sent a message with interest in a item yet the shipping was higher than I expected. I requested to have it checked to my area as I have ordered similiar items with a 1/3 less shipping costs but didnâ€™t get a response , so I decided I would go ahead and get It. I tried the but it now option and received an error. The seller has blocked me from making offers or bidding. I am not a new member I have been on here since 2003

Sellers have the right to block anyone that they want to block.

Since you seemed to be concerned about the cost of shipping before purchasing, I am guessing that the seller did not want to have any confrontations with you after you purchased.

As a seller, I am very concerned about the high cost of shipping and I find that many buyers have no idea about how much shipping has gone up, particularly in light of other sites that offer free and overnight shipping.

I would just move on to another seller that meets your expectations. Good luck.
