Why ebay charged and took $54.83 arbitrarily from my bank account?
On September 21, ebay took $54.83 from my account to please a loser buyer that damaged boots I had sold and shipped to him in order to get a refund. Now I have a damaged item that have to sell cheaper ( before it was almost worn only once). The first charge was about $20 for the return shipping label. About two days later the chsrge was increased to $54.83, without any explanation or a detailed breakdown of fees, typical way of ebay of doing things, the more confusing the better for ebay. I tried to use its lousy useless chat assistant, just a waste of time. Finally, I was able to talk to one of the customer representatived in India or Asia, but didn't get a real, satisfactory answer. I didn't make any money, and on top of that, got a damaged item back ( returned to the wrong address, had to look for and find it). At the end I was charged $20 first, and ended up paying $54.83 for nothing. Lousy customer service and deceptive and arbitrary way of charging fees.
