Why doesn't eBay take reports of price gouging & misleading posts seriously?
Nothing drives me more crazy than when people price gouge on items or mislead customers. Reporting does nothing I have included links & screen shots showing current prices. There are ads which are against eBays policy to post a picture of something & try to sell something different it's like showing a picture of an apple some title it an apple or some titles don't match & than describe an onion, like item pictured doesn't match. Like last 2 items reported for gouging currently being sold online for say $40 yet posted here $60+. Last week found ad for Tabbed Pampers Cruisers(not new 360's) which have been discontinued yet pic is some Chinese knockoffs brands listed as Pampers Cruisers being sold out of China which one would think Pampers alone would be protected, but it's like eBay is turning into another Temu or AliExpress. Please don't get me wrong there is legit items but the amount of chinesium crap is prob every category. There is also a difference to attemp to make a slight profit but when it's 3x more than currently going for it's wrong.
Why even have the option to report something if it's not going to be either taken seriously or seems like it run through an AI program.
I personally have been taking advantage of on here & other places and if someone is trying to defraud someone or use another companies good name to sell junk & I do the right thing report it yet it gets declined or told they find nothing wrong with it is like saying that you condone it & I get with millions of products it's hard to figure out what is & isn't fraud, misleading,or price gouging yet if the person include screen shots or links showing such activity and takes time to file a report it should be taken seriously. In few of them I have forwarded the listing to those major companies which are thankful & hopefully there legal teams got it fixed but it shouldn't have to go to that but I also know companies which have complained themselves & their reports get turned away forcing them to seek counsel.
Like if reports aren't being taken seriously what is the point or is there a next step like when it says auto generated like escalate it to a human. The only other option is I make my own website listing all the fraud, misleading,& those that price gouge across all platforms(maybe let the public do it as well like mix of reddit & other sites but one dedicated to abuse like this though I would ask a lawyer before I did it) bc it's not just happening here & I feel it is completely wrong to take advantage of people
