Why doesn't EBAY care about counterfeit items sold from china that are identified to them?
I have found many items being sold on EBAY within my hobby range that are absolutely 1`00% fake counterfeit items with the USA companies logo, name and USA printed on them. When I identify them to EBAY, this is the response I get back -
"What happened:
We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence."
So, EBAY is telling me that this practice of selling counterfeit, copyright infringement items is just fine with them.
The problem is that when I go to sell an authentic item at far less than retail, the china dealer is selling is selling their fake imitation POS for half of wholesale, which is less than half what I can sell the authentic item for.
Not all buyers realize that is the location of the item is GD, China / guangdong, china that it is a pretty sure thing that the sale is either for a fake, counterfeit item of possibly a total SCAM.
EBAY is irresponsible in this matter and I guess there is nothing that can be done about it.

While we are 100% protected by eBay's Money Back Guarantee if we inadvertently purchase a counterfeit item on this site ... we'll have little success in having a listing removed that we did NOT actually purchase ourselves. [There's just too many reports being made by a 'competitor seller' ... OR by people who are simply mistaken ... that eBay doesn't have the time or knowledgeable staff to investigate reports. There's 1.7 BILLION listings on eBay worldwide.]
Counterfeit items are everywhere. I've encountered them on various online selling venues ... and know how infuriating it is that more isn't done about them.
