Why does eBay want our rector's personal photo ID?
We have been trying since November to get our charity status approved by eBay and our seller account activated. We have uploaded a raft of documentation.
Most recently, we were told all we needed to do was upload documents from the national denominational office that confirmed we are legitimate. We did that.
Now, we have a new error alert that says eBay wants our rector's personal photo ID.
That is unconscionable. It is a violation of his rights to privacy under state and federal law.
eBay people can go on our parish's Website or Facebook to our parish's page, where they can see him in action.
How do you reach a live human being at eBay who can actually make cogent and lucid decisions?

Mentor1 year ago@Anonymous eBay has to ask for the ID and make sure it matches the authorized charity representative to comply with federal money laundering laws.
