Why does Ebay threaten sellers with "performance" level. I have 1 item for sale... LOL ...
I have gotten this kind of message from Ebay for a year. That year I have had nothing for sale. I put up one item on auction that has not even ended and still I get this....

What do you do when Ebay harasses you like this?
I have ONE item at auction, and it got one view. It renewed and frankly I didn't want it to, but Ebay did it. Seems to me there ought to be a better way.

Mentor3 years ago@Anonymous You are responsible for monitoring your seller account and making sure that items that are auto relisted are canceled if you didn't want to sell any longer.
Refunds come from the seller, not from eBay. Since it sounds like you didn't refund the buyer they probably asked eBay to step in and force a refund. This causes a Defect on your seller dashboard. That plus the negative feedback score doesn't help your account.
You need to check your seller dashboard as the message says and see what areas need improvement:

OP3 years agoI'm not getting good answers. I'm getting folks who are not reading n understanding. I get EBay Cheerleaders.
I know what the dashboard is... I'm not stupid n can read. For one year I did not list a thing...so how could I sell anything... Thus how can anyone advise read about seller performance. I was not selling... But no one addressed that. EBay owed me money and refused to send a check. Finally that hot settled. I just find it amazing that of the responders they seem to thing everything was my fault n EBay is so great. Two years on EBay and only 1 item sold. Frankly I now use EBay for item description, comparisons n pricing for my ads on FB.

OP3 years agoI think its time for new folks and long time sellers to deal with this.... Seller Performance. It seems to me that a Seller can not twist a buyer to buy from them. So how in heck can Ebay keep harping on Seller Performance.
