Why does ebay take a fee for my shipping
If the buyer pays $4.13 for shipping and thats what it cost me to ship why am I charge a percentage of the cost. I understand if I say shipping is $5.00 and I buy shipping and it cost me $3.97 then yes I should be charged. But I am losing money each time I ship. Does ebay want me to charge more so I don't lose money. I have supplies I buy so I can ship products. Does ebay factor in the cost of supplies?

You need to factor in these costs (along with all your costs) to come up with a selling price and a shipping & handling cost. This is how selling works everywhere.
eBay not only facilitates your sale from start to finish, they process your payment (not just the portion paid for the item, but the entire payment).
