Why does ebay put 80% of security card available on card?
Okay I bought a gift card and with all the numbers available with out scratching I recognized all, but the last 4. Now with that since as long as you have an account you can check gift cards freely. Now that means you are giving away majority information without having issue for the other person to guess. Why do these cards work like that? I guess also it would seem better practice remove all numbers except unique barcode and have the security code to lock in to the account. I seems more like security flaw or a major security error with benefits for ebay in terms of making money. If anyone could explain it would be nice.
