Why do you show items as shipped when only the labels have been created?
Why do you show items as shipped when only the labels have been created? The items have not actually shipped anywhere yet.

Mentor3 years agoeBay has no way of knowing when items are actually shipped.
eBay can tell when a label is printed through eBay, though. So eBay uses that to trigger a "shipping has begun" message.
If eBay shipping is used or tracking has been updated, sometimes eBay can get an indication of an acceptance scan at a shipping service, but this is often not very reliable or particularly timely, and not all sellers are willing to wait in line to ensure such a scan is actually made.
Sellers have long complained that eBay is leading buyers to believe that items have shipped before the shipping service actually has the package in hand, but eBay has not done much about such complaints other than to change the wording of the message a bit.
