Why do some sellers get to mail coins for less than $1?

·3 years agoYou can put a penny in an envelope an put a stamp on it. However, it won't be tracked. Nothing wrong with that unless you want to maintain a top rated seller status where on-time shipping/tracking is a parameter.
eBay has a recent program for shipping with eBay tracking. It applies to items under $20. Your coins must be listed in the "coins & paper money" category.

The only problem with this method is that tracking is not guaranteed. Tracking is updated only at major USPS sorting hubs, since local post offices and carriers can not scan eBay's proprietary scan code. So again, may not be the best option for maintaining TRS status.
Here is my method (the tape is on the clear holder, not stuck directly to the coins), and you "may" be able to tape flips if not too bulky and spaced far enough apart.
Here is the gauntlet these envelopes must be able to traverse, or else they will be ejected as non-machinable.
