Why do I keep getting a violation for real product.
Hi so I've been on here selling since 2023 and I keep running in to a problem. one of my listing say that I have a policy violation for counterfeit merchandise. And I know that it's not counterfeit but it keeps happening how do I correct this so that it doesn't keep taking down my listing??

I just wanted to say that you must NEVER relist an item that eBay has pulled … even when you’re certain it was pulled by mistake. Your listing is now on a bot’s radar … and nothing you do is likely to fix the problem.
Each time you relist it brings you closer to a permanent restriction from selling. List your perfume on some other website.

·2 years agoHi @j-johnsons Do not keep trying to list the item, until you know for certain what's causing the system to automatically flag and remove it. Too many policy violations could get your account permanently restricted (we don't know how many is too many). What's the item?

OP2 years agoThe item is a channel perfume... And ya I talked to a rep and that's kinda what they said to but to also add more to my descriptions and I posted lods more pictures from all angels they said that would help also. But that's what I'm worried about is my account being affected by this.

·2 years ago@j-johnsons That's good advice about description and pictures, but that's not what would cause a policy violation. If the perfume is partly used, you cannot sell it on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/cosmetics-policy?id=4290
If the perfume is new, you can sell it on eBay. Make sure you put the word New in your listing title. But you must use ground transportation for shipping. See Perfumes on the list of USPS shipping restrictions:
https://www.usps.com/ship/shipping-restrictions.htm
If it's an empty perfume bottle, you can sell it in the Collectibles > Vanity, Perfume & Shaving category, but not the Cosmetics category. Make sure you include the word Empty in the title, condition, and description.
Your account should be okay with only a few listing policy violations; if it wasn't, eBay would have already notified you by now. In the future, if they flag and pull a listing, don't try to list it again until you know for certain what caused the problem and can fix it.
