Why do I have to pay for a sale I canceled why I have not got payment
Hi fellows, I recently put up a sale and got a buyer. But then I found a part in the sale item was missing so I canceled the sale. But after I gave the reason for cancellation on the ebay site, it asked me to pay the sales amount minus a "fee credit". I have not received any payment for the sale, so why do I have to pay? Was it because the buyer had paid ebay already, and I have to pay ebay first before it refunds the buyer and then pays me back? But why do it this way? I am first time ebay user clueless of its rules, and ebay help is no help. Any help from you will be greatly appreciated it! John

Mentor3 years agoYes, with Managed Payments, we have to refund the buyer from our own funds, and then ebay credits us back. I decided to specify a credit card for this purpose.

·3 years agoIf you don't have enough avaliable funds, you have to cover the refund.
When the buyers payment is released, the funds will sent to your checking account.
