Why do I get an error message when I go to send an invoice to my buyer?
I've made a new account and sold my first item yesterday. It's an expensive camera lens (over $1,000) but I get an error message when I go to send an invoice.
Is there a reason for this? How can I get paid for this before I ship the item?

Mentor1 year agoWhat does the error message say? Why are you sending an invoice to the buyer? You never ship until eBay says the item has been paid for. Keep in mind that since your item is over $1,000 eBay will hold the funds for 30 days before sending a payout to you. eBay had too many problems with high priced items so they now hold the funds to make sure the item has been delivered and is in the condition described. Buyers have 30 days from delivery or estimated delivery to open these cases thus the extended funds hold.

I assumed an invoice needed to be sent in order for the buyer to pay?
