Why didn't the buyer get charged for shipping?

I just got hit with over $8 for shipping charges when I am always charging the buyer to pay for shipping unless I say otherwise. The sale of this product nets me zero with having to pay shipping. I accepted their offer - but never said I would pay shipping. Aaargh!!!!

The last item you sold was listed with Free shipping. So the buyer did not have to pay any shipping charge.
