Why did the seller cancel my bid and end the auction when I had the winning bid?
I was bidding on an item and had the high bid. The auction suddenly ended. Under bidding history i had the high bid. It now says the bid was canceled by seller and auction has ended. What's up with that?

Mentor10 months agoThere can be several reasons the seller did this but there is no way for any of us to know why. If the seller should relist the item shortly with a higher price then they could be reported to eBay but there is little eBay will do other than to mark the sellers account to see if they make this a habit.

Mentor10 months agoThe seller is the only one that really knows what is going on. They may not tell you, but you are welcome to use "contact seller" to ask them.
Some reasons: Item no longer available, error in the listing, seller changed their mind, mistake in pricing.
The one thing to note: The seller does get charged fees for doing this. It would get expensive for a seller to do this too often. This doesn't help buyers, but it does encourage cancelling auctions with bids.
