Why did I have to pay partial shipping when I chose buyer would pay?
So I weighed and measured my full box. I chose USPS for their shipping costs and chose that buyer would pay the shipping, then listed my item. When it sold, it said the buyer was only paying half and I was to pay the other half. What happened? This is my very first sell on eBay. I don't want this to happen again. It took my profit.

Mentor4 months agoYour mistake was you chose to use Flat Rate shipping and not Calculated shipping. With flat rate shipping it is one shipping charge no matter where the package is going to. Since shipping charges are based on not only the weight and dimensions of your packaging but also how far the package is going flat rate shipping can undercharge a buyer who is far away from your location. For most packages you should be selecting calculated shipping so the shipping charge takes into account the location of the buyer.
