Why did eBay reset my password?
I received a form email saying:
We reset your eBay password for your security
Here is the recent activity I know of:
I recently made a purchase on eBay of cost greater than $1000.
I signed in from a VPN IP that keeps my home IP private.
The item is being shipped to my long time home address.
The address is entered in the account Personal Info section.
I made the purchase with the the same credit card I have used in the past.
The credit card info is not saved on my account.
Using a VPN provided IP address should not be enough to trigger a password reset. Do you really think some cyber criminal signed into my ebay account and used their own credit card to send me a computer? (**bleep**s)
