Why can’t I sell an eMTB?

Question

I’ve put 2 bikes for sale, but they’re taken down due to policy violation? Yes there are loads of electric mountain bikes for sale on eBay? Hope you can help

I looked up the info below, before I knew that you were located in the U.K.. You posted your question on ebay's U.S. based site's ( ebay.com ) community and the shipping rules for shipping eBikes may differ from ours, though there are likely similar shipping restrictions for them in the U.K. I'm assuming the bike you want to list is a used one. You may want to ask your question on the U.K. based site's community, open the link below. On that page click on the Help from the community header and select Member to Member Support which is the equivalent of the Mentor board in this country.

"Shipping a used eBike is strictly regulated primarily because the lithium-ion battery is classified as a hazardous material (Class 9 Dangerous Goods). You must use ground transport only (no air shipping), discharge the battery below 30% capacity, and potentially pack or ship the battery separately in UN-certified packaging depending on the carrier's specific rule".
