Why can't I make another second-chance offer?
I tried making a second chance offer for [this item](https://www.ebay.com/itm/134928851226). I had previously sent a second chance offer but it expired. Now when I try to create a second chance offer for that bidder again by clicking on "Send Second Chance Offer" in the bids for the listing, I see this error:
Input data is invalid.
Please make sure you entered the correct buyer names.
And the bidder no longer shows in the bidders available to send a second chance offer.
The bidder hasn't disabled their second chance offers. It seems that eBay simply disallows it because they've already received one (that's expired).
I've been trying to sell this item for weeks now and eBay makes the process so clumsy and difficult. I lost access to International Shipping Program. Fees have gone up. Non-paying bidders are the norm. I remember when eBay was easy to use and cost-effective, but it seems to have morphed into a marketplace for soul-sucking despair.

·2 years agoYou can only send one SCO to a particular bidder per listing. Why would you need to send another?
If s/he has agreed to buy at the SCO price (or at some other price) relist it in a way that s/he will be able to buy or make a Best Offer for that amount (I recommend a fixed-price listing with a high Buy It Now with Immediate Payment Required and Best Offer; then have him/her make the Best Offer at the agreed price and ignore all others).

OP2 years agoWhy would I need to send another? Refer to the original post where I said, “I had previously sent a second chance offer but it expired.â€
I guess that makes sense… it’s not called “another chance offer,†so there’s no third chance offering. Thanks for the suggestions.

Mentor2 years agoIf the bidder allowed the first SCO to expire, I would conclude that s/he wasn't interested. Did that bidder message you and request a second SCO?
