Why can the buyer leave negatine feedback on someone but the seller cant leave feedback on a negativ
Why can a buyer leave negative feedback on a seller but a seller can't leave negative feedback for a buyer?

Mentor2 years agoBuyers use feedback to determine whether to initiate a purchase from a seller; sellers do not use feedback to determine whether to do business with buyers, though, since buyers initiate transactions, not sellers.
At one point it was possible to leave negative feedback for buyers, but eBay found that some sellers would use the threat of retaliatory negative feedback to discourage buyers from leaving well-deserved negative feedback for those sellers, or would even leave negative feedback for buyers and then push for mutual withdrawal of both ratings. This made feedback less effective overall, and made it harder for good sellers to be distinguished from bad sellers so eBay did away with negative feedback for buyers entirely.
