Why are shipping and handling included in the sale of and item then fees deducted?
Shipping and handling included in sale total and then fees deducted.

Ebay selling fees are based on the total amount of money paid by the buyer, which includes s/h.
According to Ebay:
"This (Final Value) fee is calculated as a percentage of the total amount of the sale, plus a per order fee.""The total amount of the sale includes the item price, any handling charges, any shipping costs collected from the buyer, sales tax, and any other applicable fees."
