Who's Dropping the Ball? Shippers or ebay?

When I get a notice from USPS (or whomever) saying “My item was delivered,” it'd be nice to know which item. What if I'm expecting multiple items, from multiple shippers? That's when the idea takes on its true value.

How do I (we, frankly) tell and ask ebay to coordinate its transaction details with shippers so that notifications start to include some sort of item description, not just an upcoming delivery? A single word could help tons.

I see this benefitting just about everybody on the convenience and awareness scales.

(Interestingly, there's a lopsided effort needed to describe this compared to the ease with which — once the pieces are in place — the switch gets flipped and the new and improved, item-describing delivery notifications can be implemented and in use.)

@d0ugparker One possible option is to compare the tracking number in the message to your outstanding orders in your Purchase History.
