Who pays for return shipping when the seller shipped the wrong item
So I bought an item. The seller shipped a totally different item than I purchased. Im wanting a refund. Who pays for return shipping since they shipped the wrong item. About a 15 dollar item. I know as a seller I would just say keep it or throw it away to not inconvenience the buyer. But they want it shipped back. So again who is responsible for return shipping since they sent the WRONG item.

Mentor2 years agoThe seller is responsible for the cost of return shipping if you select the correct reason when you open a return case.
If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
