Who is responsible for the tax portion of a refund payment?
As the title suggests, that is my only current concern. I was given a refund for the subtotal of the cost for a purchase of a couple hundred dollars (although, even that didn't add up, but one thing at a time) but not the tax portion. The seller tells me that eBay is responsible for that portion. Is this true, & if so, when do I get this from eBay or whomever?

Yes it's true ... and from what I know, you'll receive the tax portion from eBay within 1-2 days.

Mentor3 years agoYes, ebay is responsible for refunding the sales tax as they are the ones that collected it and remitted to your state. I have no idea how long it will take before they actually send you the refund.
