Where is my money?! Account suspended
My account has been suspended for almost 2 years now. eBay informed me that my item had sold and sent me the shipping label to print out, which I did.. and I dropped the item off to have it sent out and within a day or 2, I received a message that for my own protection, eBay had signed me out of my account and changed my password for me because they thought someone was attempting to get into my account. I think maybe I had signed in on my iPad to check the shipping because I was waiting on the funds to clear- it was so long ago I can’t even remember but I’m wondering if that is what triggered them to put a security hold on my account? Not even sure- but I am sure that they told me that my item had sold for $300 and to ship the item and I did, and as soon as I did- they pulled that on me and locked me out of my account and I have yet to receive my $300 for the item or regain access to my account. I have repeatedly tried to regain access but they insist that they know my personal information and require me to correctly answer questions that are supposedly regarding a previous school, I have not attended any of the ones they mentioned.. a previous vehicle I owned, which I have never owned any of.. the color of that said vehicle.. professional licenses that I currently hold, which I do not hold any of….
i was told that they use a 3rd party to generate these personal questions from information gathered online.. and that’s cool and all and I wouldn’t have a problem answering the questions.. IF ANY OF THEM HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH ME AT ALL! I even tried to research and find someone with my name that I could link these questions to and be able to come up with the right answers to be able to get back into MY ACCOUNT!

Mentor9 months ago@14spydeenichol Sorry that happened. At this point I am afraid to say your only option is to contact your state in regards to unclaimed money. It takes anywhere from 1 to 5 years for the money to show up and varies by state. This is a process called escheatment.
