where and how is the shipping charges added to the sale after you have mailed the pkg?
I just want to know in the process of the sale, the shipping charges are to be added, where do I add this and how?

We all make a few mistakes at the beginning.
What is written in the description doesn't matter as far as shipping. It is how the listing is filled out and the shipping options selected.

Mentor7 months agoIf your listings state that the buyer will pay for shipping, when the sale is made and the buyer pays, s/he will send item price + shipping + sales tax to ebay. ebay then sends the item price + shipping to you. You will see it in your Seller Hub > Orders > Awaiting shipment
You can purchase your shipping label anywhere you wish. If you use ebay shipping, you get a discount, and the funds to pay for the label can come from the pending payout as well as from your Paypal account (your choice).
You ship the item according to your handling time. Since you appear to be either a new or infrequent seller, ebay will most likely hold the payout to your checking account for up to 30 days, so the funds will be available just in case the buyer files a case.

OP7 months agothank you. I appreciate the info. I didn't add the shipping at the beginning, and I assumed I could add the actual shipping cost after I mailed it to see the actual cost. I guess that was dumb. Lesson learned.

Shipping charges are added when you list your item.
It looks like the Pasta Express parts were listing with Free USPS Ground, that means the seller pays the shipping. So the buyer is not obligated to pay any shipping and you should pay for the shipping label.
Be sure to always enter the correct weight and dimensions when you list your item, and chose Calculated Shipping. Then the buyer will pay shipping to you.

OP7 months agoIn my listing it says + shipping in the item description. I checked that again just to make sure it was there.
