When you still pay when a seller sends to another person in the same ZIP code and eBay does nothing
Has anyone else had this experience?
I bought an item from a seller, who provided a tracking number. Great so far.
Tracking showed it was "delivered", but I did not receive anything.
I contact the post office, and they provide proof that the tracking number did not have my address as the recipient. They sent me an image of the package they scanned.
I provide this evidence to eBay Customer Service that shows that the address delivered is not mine. My address had not changed in 7 years, and I have bought thousands of items.
They still found the case for the seller, and refused to refund me.
How does this happen? Is this a new scam where a seller can ship to a different recipient/buddy in the same ZIP and screw the buyer, while eBay stands by and does nothing?
I am incredibly ticked off right now, and plan to open a small claims court case because this is just not right.
Anybody else experience this? How did you deal with it?
