When the seller provides a tracking number that doesn't correspond to the order.
Dear mentor,
I have been an ebay member for 20 years and this terrible situation that I'm in is to a great extent unbelievable. In few words I bought a very expensive item from a seller with zero sales. The seller declared the item dispatched and provided a tracking number that has nothing to do with my delivery address. The curious thing is that I have messaged with 2 ebay agents, explaining the problem and asking them to check the tracking number in the dhl page. They refused to do it and said that they see no problem to it. I bought this item from Italy and my address is in Greece. The tracking number provided by the seller is for a domestic shipment in Germany. I mean that is so much easy to see the fraud here. And they just don't want to see it.
I have done a request of not receiving it, but what else can I do?

Mentor2 years agoCheck with the shipping service to determine if the tracking number corresponds to a delivery to your address.
If not, you may be the victim of a false tracking scam or the seller may have given you the wrong tracking number by mistake. Either way, see here for some good instructions about what you can do about it:

Your situation is complicated by international shipping, which may make things harder for you.
In general, you can avoid a lot of headaches by choosing to purchase only from established sellers that have recent and past positive feedback as a seller for selling items in the same category that you intend to buy. Avoid doing business with new or inexperienced sellers, sellers with a pattern of troubling feedback, sellers that show indications of being drop shippers or not having actual stock on hand, or sellers that have large gaps in selling history or that have drastically changed the sorts of items they sell.
