OP2 years agoThank you! Your advice helps. The package has been on the move since yesterday. I have not refunded the cost. I now know where to come for advice. Thank you again.

-First, you check tracking to see what it says.
-You can file a missing mail piece with USPS and sometimes that will shake a package loose
-You do NOT refund unless the Buyer files a claim through eBay that they did not receive their package. You then upload the tracking number to the claim. If delivery happens within the claim time period you are covered, if not and there is no movement on the tracking number then you can refund
-You are a new Seller so some Buyers may try to take advantage of you by making false claims to see if you will cave and refund

The buyer can open a not received claim as soon as the latest estimated delivery date has passed. Go to your sold items and select order details next to that item. You will see the range of dates for the expected delivery. Once a claim is open, you have 3 business days to refund, or provide tracking that shows delivery if the package does suddenly arrive.
If the item is late, go to usps.com and see if you can open a missing mail search yet. Track the item, then request tracking updates so you get a message when there is movement on the package.
