When I go to return my item the order number comes up non-existent

Question

I ordered a pair of shoes. They ended up being the wrong color. I went to do the return and the order number comes up as non-existent. Thank goodness I had my emails that had the order number from the seller. I contacted the seller, told them I couldn't return it. They asked if I tried to start a return. I told them I couldn't because of the order number. They have been silent since then and have not returned any of my messages. Now what do I do?

Find the item in your Purchase History if you used this account to purchase it and start the return from there.

If you used a different eBay account, sign out of this account, then sign in to that account, as above.

If you purchased as a guest, sign out of your current eBay account, then use the "order details" link in the email you received from eBay regarding the guest order.
