when I go to bid it says unable to purchase this itme due to restrictions from seller

I have bought from this seller before with no problems. How can I get this fixed. Seller will not respond to my e mails. ebay will listen but no help

Not all sellers block unpaid buyers but some do. If you have not paid for items in the past year then your seller could be a seller that blocks deadbeat buyers. Sometimes if a seller doesn't like the feedback you leave for others they might block you from bidding on their item.

There are other reasons, too. The seller could limit the number of purchases a buyer can make in a week. And eBay can limit your purchases.

What does the message say, exactly? That may help to indicate if this is a permanent restriction or just a temporary issue.

Sellers can block buyers by adding the buyer's username to a list -- that is permanent unless the seller decides to undo it.

There are limitations based on the buyer's primary shipping address location. Buyers with PO Boxes can be blocked.

There are other sorts of buyer requirements that can block buyers with two or more unpaid item cancellations in the last month, six months or a year. Those can be overcome by going the required time without getting additional unpaid item cancellations.

There are also blocks that limit buyers to a certain number of purchases within the span of ten days which can be overcome by simply waiting more than ten days to make another purchase.
